Finally, I saw the Beastie Boys!!!!!!

If you know anything about me, you will know that the one band I wanted to see before I died was the Beastie Boys. I don't know what it is about those guys... the way they come together, the way there voices mix, and the way they can change there style and still sound amazing!

On Sunday I was at the Tigers game with friends form work. While leaving the park I looked up at the Filmore Theater marquee and saw that the Beastie Boys were not only in town, but they had a show that was not sold out on Tuesday, only tow days away. I was BUMMED!! How did I not know that they were in town? I had to work on Tuesday, I was sure that I was going to miss what is said to be there last show in Michigan.

On Monday I went online just to see the cost of the tickets. I knew my husband would be unable to go with me, but my awesome assistant Marie said that she would come in and cover my shift if I went. I called my good friend Andy and asked if he had extra money and nothing to do that next night. He was on board!

We ended up getting down town really early and being the fourth group in line to get in. We went right up the the front and staked our place. IT WAS SO COOL!!! I was 10-15 feet away from at least one of the Beastie Boys at all times! At one point MCA came down into the little space between the stage and where we were standing walked by and shook my hand! That was one of the greatest that has ever happened to me! Let me say it again... IT WAS SO COOL!!!
